Product description
- Multifunctional indoor applications
- Fast and reliable processing with low effort (more screws on one battery charge)
- Universal use
- Effectively reduces the risk of wood splitting, even at small edge distances
The special force application - the drive - is a so-called inner hexagon round. Compared to less precisely fitting drives, such as Phillips or Phillips heads, the gripping surface with our T-STAR plus is a multiple and the T-STAR bits always sit optimally in the screw head. The resulting optimum, precise power transfer from the cordless screwdriver to the screw by T-STAR plus therefore ensures easy and enormously smooth work, and that much more efficiently than with any other drive. That means for you: The troublesome ejection of the bit from the screw head is a thing of the past, you can complete large screw jobs in the shortest possible time!
Mounting window and door frames made of plastic and aluminium profiles requires a head shape that can withstand high pull-through forces on one side and does not project too much on the other. Both conditions are perfectly fulfilled by our flat countersunk head. This is used in our SPAX-RA full-thread screw, which is used for dowel-less fastening of window and door frames. As so often, the drive takes place via T-STAR plus force engagement. That means for you: No annoying screw heads on the inside of window and door frames.
Unlike partial threads, in most of our full thread screws, full thread extends along the entire or practically entire length of the screw, from tip to head. The more threads a screw has, the greater the tensile and compressive forces that can be derived across them. We exploit this particularly in structural timber construction, where our full-thread screws are used for heavy-duty timber joints. That means for you: You can fully trust wood joints with full-thread screws in terms of load-bearing capacity, no application of unsightly galvanised fittings required.
The designation 4CUT for the tip of our screws describes the fact that it is not round but four-sided. These four sides displace the wood fibres during screwing in and thus make room for the core diameter of the screw. The otherwise inevitable spreading pressure, which the core exerts in the wood, is thus effectively reduced and splitting of the wood close to the edge is reduced. The required torque of the cordless screwdriver is also reduced because the core of the screwdriver does not have to "wriggle" through the wood. That means for you: Even at the otherwise splitting-sensitive edges of your workpiece, pre-drilling is practically no longer necessary! The 4CUT saves you a complete work cycle.
Effective corrosion protection of the screws is absolutely essential for structures that are not exposed to the weather. With WIROX, SPAX has developed a coating that is far superior to conventional galvanisation in terms of corrosion protection. With WIROX coated, our screws are significantly more resistant to mechanical stress than their yellowish, chromated counterparts. WIROX contains no chromium(VI). The screws retain their load capacity even after years of outdoor applications not exposed to direct weather influences and are not environmentally harmful. Our WIROX screws are the first choice for all open construction without direct exposure to weather, such as carports and pergolas. However, for heavy weather exposure, such as terraces, we still recommend our screws in the stainless steel variant. That means for you: When you use our corrosion-resistant screws outdoors, you can rely on the joints of your structure - WIROX keeps our screws statically absolutely stable and reliably protected for many years in outdoor applications not exposed to direct weather. So you can save yourself the annual visual inspection!
